Bom&#8230; Mesmo sendo a segunda maior, n\u00e3o \u00e9 t\u00e3\u00e3\u00e3o grande assim. S\u00e3o apenas\u00a0<b>200.000 habitantes<\/b>\u00a0na cidade de fato, e 1.6 milh\u00f5es na &#8220;regi\u00e3o metropolitana&#8221; (que diferen\u00e7a!\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lalarebelo.dreamhosters.com\/bangkok\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span class=\"s1\">Bangkok<\/span><\/a>,\u00a0a maior, tem 8 milh\u00f5es!!).<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Chiang Mai, tamb\u00e9m chamada de &#8220;a rosa do norte&#8221;, encontra-se a\u00a0<b>700km de Bangkok<\/b>, na regi\u00e3o norte do pa\u00eds, em uma\u00a0<b>\u00e1rea montanhosa<\/b>\u00a0(as montanhas mais altas da Tail\u00e2ndia). Isso faz com que o clima seja mais ameno do que em outras cidades em algumas \u00e9pocas do ano (na \u00e9poca que fomos, mar\u00e7o, o calor era infernal! hehe).<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">A cidade foi constru\u00edda em 1296 como uma\u00a0<b>cidade murada<\/b>, rodeada por um fosso (esta \u00e1rea \u00e9 hoje chamada de\u00a0<i>Old City<\/i>\u00a0e tem apenas 1,5km2) e foi, por 472 anos, a\u00a0<b>capital do\u00a0<\/b><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Lan_Na\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Lanna Kingdom<\/b><\/span><\/a>, reino rival ao de Ayutthaya (anteriormente, a capital de Lanna era Chiang Rai).<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">O Reino Lanna, que mistura caracter\u00edsticas da Birm\u00e2nia (atual Myanmar) e da <a href=\"\/?p=29704\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">China<\/a>, deixou heran\u00e7as muito marcantes, que fazem com que a regi\u00e3o norte da Tail\u00e2ndia seja de fato \u00fanica.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Chiang Mai \u00e9\u00a0considerada a\u00a0<b>capital espiritual do pa\u00eds<\/b>. E com raz\u00e3o! Pois existem mais de 300 templos na cidade &#8211; quase o mesmo n\u00famero de Bangkok, em uma \u00e1rea muuito menor e com muuuuito menos gente. Muuuuita hist\u00f3ria, monumentos e paisagens liiindas a serem exploradas!
